Laboratory Testing
Independent, WQI-recognized labs test your product for microplastic content using standardized protocols. Testing is arranged and paid for by the applicant.
Review & Verification
WQI's scientific panel reviews the submitted test results and documentation against the certification standard.
Certification
Products that meet the standard receive the WQI Microplastic-Free certification mark.

Recertification$1,000
Per certificate, every 3 years.
Annual Mark Licensing (base)$3,500 / year
Covers use of the WQI Microplastic-Free Certification Mark for up to 5 certificates.
Additional Licensing+$1,000 / year
Per additional block of 5 certificates.
Private-Label Sublicense$500 / year each
Prorated; 50% discount on each sublicense after the fifth for licensees who pay their sublicense fees.
Laboratory testing is performed by independent, WQI-recognized laboratories and is arranged and paid for by the applicant. Wellness Quality Institute reviews and verifies submitted results; it does not perform testing. All certification fees are invoiced after initial paperwork is received; applications proceed once payment is confirmed.
The Certification Mark

Certified products may display the WQI Microplastic-Free mark on packaging, product pages, and marketing materials for the duration of an active license. Each mark links back to a public certificate page verifying the product's testing summary and issue date.
