Invisible Pollution: Microplastics Are Now in Our Drinking Water

Microscopic plastic particles are entering our bodies through the water we drink, the food we eat, and the air we breathe. We research, test, and certify so people and brands can make safer choices.

New Frontier

Microplastics Can Now Reach the Brain

The blood–brain barrier is the body's primary defense for neural tissue. In 2025, researchers documented for the first time that microplastic particles have crossed it and accumulated in human brain tissue — and that concentrations appear to be rising over time. It is one of the clearest signals yet that microplastic exposure is a human health issue, not only an environmental one.
